Behind the Curtain

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre

Commission by the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre London

Every year the London's Globe Theatre works in collaboration with around 70 students from various schools in the Borough of Southwark. This year they put on a performance of the Shakespeare classic "As You Like It" in the historically renowned venue itself.

Regan Ross & I worked with 2 other creatives and the Southwark-based drama collective "The People's Company" to produce a 4 metre wide panorama, which was presented in Shakespeare's Globe's main foyer.

An interview with Globe's Head of Education, Patrick Spottiswoode, regarding this can be viewed here: Londonlive

In addition to orchestrating, shooting and editing the panorama we produced a series of documentary style photos, with hope of providing some insight into the production process to those not involved. As well as being displayed on a large set of screens in the Globe's main foyer, we also produced these documentary shots into an A5 photobook - serving as a reminder to those involved of how much time and effort was channeled into this.
